Privacy policy

Draft. This has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and should not be relied on as final. It exists so there is something real to review, not a placeholder.

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to run a dating app safely for teenagers: your email, birthdate, the profile info you choose to share, and your photos (reviewed by a real person before anyone else can see them). We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't track you around the internet. You can download everything we have about you or delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.

What we collect

What we deliberately don't collect

Precise location (we only ask what town you're in — you type it, we never ask your device for GPS coordinates), your phone number, your contacts, device identifiers used to track you across apps, or behavioural analytics beyond what keeping the platform safe requires.

Who else sees it

A small number of services process data on our behalf, only for what they're named for: an email provider to send sign-in codes and match notifications, a cloud storage provider to host your photos, and an error-monitoring tool that helps us catch bugs. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes. [Company legal name] has data processing agreements with each of them — see §17 of the project plan if you're reviewing this before it's finalised.

Other users see what you put on your profile, plus — only after a real person on our team has approved it — your photos. Nothing else about your account is visible to other users.

How long we keep it

While your account is active, for as long as you want it to be. If you delete your account, your profile and photos are deleted immediately. Some records — that a match happened, that a report was filed, that a moderator took an action — are kept afterward with your identifying details removed, because they're part of the safety record other users may still need us to have. See Terms of Service for what specifically survives and why.

Your rights

You can see, download, or delete your data at any time — no need to ask us first. Go to Settings → Account. Deleting your account requires confirming with a fresh code sent to your email, so nobody else can delete it for you. If you have a question we haven't answered here, contact us at info.wisp@proton.me.

This app is for teenagers

We built this policy — and the product itself — around that fact, not as an afterthought. Every profile is reviewed by a person before it's visible to anyone. See the safety centre for how to report a concern or get help.
